OPS stands for Operational Points

They are the virtual credits the Raal platform consumes whenever you use it. Every feature has a fixed OPS cost; instead of paying separately for each, you maintain a balance and the platform deducts as you go.

Where OPS come from

There are two sources:

  1. Subscription allocation (monthly or annual): if you're on Starter, Pro, or Business, your plan includes a set number of OPS each period. Annual plans gives all OPS up front at the start of the billing period.

  2. Top-ups: you can buy OPS packs anytime, regardless of tier. Top-up OPS never expire and are always consumed before subscription OPS.

You see your current balance at the top of right of every page and at the OPS Ledger page (Configuration > OPS Ledger).

What OPS are spent on

Examples (see "How OPS are consumed" for the full rate card):

  • Placing a shipment order

  • Customs clearance

  • Adding an accessory to a shipment

  • Exporting data

  • Calling the Raal API

  • Choosing certain payment policies (Pay after fulfilment, Monthly invoice)

Rollover rules

Unused subscription OPS roll over into the next period, but the rolled-over amount is capped:

  • Monthly plans: cap is 2x your monthly allocation.

  • Annual plans: cap is 2x your annual allocation.

If your balance reaches the cap, no new OPS are added at the next renewal until you spend some down. You stop being charged for unused allocation in this case as well: if no OPS are consumed for two consecutive periods, no new OPS are added at all until you start using them again.

Subscription OPS vs top-up OPS

When you place an order, the platform consumes top-up OPS first, then subscription OPS. This protects the OPS you "paid extra for" via top-ups from expiring when you cancel a plan.

Are OPS refundable?

No. OPS are non-refundable except in verified system error cases. They never expire (top-up) or expire at end-of-period if rolled over past the cap (subscription).
